Message Disclaimer: Ok, let me first put this little tidbit right out in the open, on the table before the flames come in. No I am not going to drive it this way. Thanks.

Hello all....She's back! As some of you may recall, back in March I got in an accident with the Z. No one else involved in the accident but me. Long story short, I decided to mow some trees down in my Z. It has been a very long journey to get her back to where she is right now. The insurance did not cover one cent of the damages to the car. And the deeper and deeper that I dug into the car, the more and more damage I would find. And on a side note, it doesn't make it any easier when you are a crazy perfectionist like me.

Well, as of today, I am official calling her done.....enough! Please note at this time that there are things not done and items yet to be installed. All of which have plans for them. If something looks a little mis-alligned (front fascia) then it is most likely due to the fact that it is not "completely" installed and still requires more screws, bolts, nuts, elbow grease, etc. I want to first start by thanking everyone the helped me in getting her pieced back together.

First I would like to thank Tom (TT.net member = DJ Tom Van Dyck) He really, really put alot of time (and train tickets) into helping me get the car back together. And he taught me a hell of a lot about body work and paint. Thanks Bud.

Next big thanks goes out to Coz. I think he must have heard me say "this should be it" more times than we can both count. I made so many orders through him, and he came through big on everyone. Oh, and Coz, I know I said it last time, but I found more things that I need. I will shoot you an email later. LOL.

And a huge thanks to Sam (TT.net member = ZLuster). Finding a 2 seater door here in Europe was proving to be impossible. Sam gave me an awesome deal on a door and a fender. Luckily, my brother lives just a few miles from Sam and happens to work at a heavy packing and transport company. Got a good deal on the shipping :)

Big thanks to Z1. They hooked me up with some very good condition used parts at a very good price. They really helped to open the budget up a bit to get a few other things that I needed.

And I know there are many others to thank and I am very sorry if you know you should be and are now feeling left out. But huge thanks to all my friends here on TT.net. Great advice, tech articles, and other personnel experiences armed me with a great deal of knowledge that I could not get anywhere else.

“So….what’s the deal with the car?” you may be asking. Well, I only have about 5 months left in Europe until it is time to move on to my next location. Which by the way, I have no clue what it is. And in about two months, the nasty fall and winter weather will be plaguing the skies. Additionally, and this touches back on point one, I really don’t want to give her a fresh new coat of paint, just to have some a$$Hol3 dock worker / loading guy scratch her all to pieces during her travels back to the US. BUT.....I HAD TO put her all back together so custom will accept the car for shipment. Don't ask me, I just pay the bills! So I will leave her as is for now, and in about 4-5 months she will be on a boat headed to the US. No big deal to me. Gives me something to do right off the bat in the US.

Stay with me, we are almost to the pics. I want to again say thanks to Tom. Tom and I did all the work that you see here. And it is not done by a long shot. There are more things to be done to the car that we just didn’t have the equipment to do. Additionally, there are things that I did (bodywork) to the car, really to try my hand at it, that I plan to have professionally redone. But the point was to get the basic idea of what I wanted it all to look like in the end. In about a month she is headed off to have the frame checked and some additional work done in the front end, which took a lot of damage. The whole front left corner in ½ inch lower and 1/8 – ¼ pushed back from where it should be. So the fender, fascia and headlight don’t come together quite the way they should.

Here are the engine pics. Reworked from many members suggestions the last time that I posted pics of it. I eliminated / relocated everything (minus the PS reservoir) to somewhere else to give the bay a cleaner look. Also rerouted all wiring and hoses as to take them out of sight as much as possible. Nothing but an engine in a nice glossy black bay now. Repainted the whole bay.

Now for the interior. I had a lot of time between paychecks (LOL) to get the big parts that I needed, so I took that time to do the engine bay and the interior. I finally finished my carPC install that I have been working, and changing, and working more. Only thing left is the Conzult interface cable, which is coming on the first.

Behold the wonderment and awe when the Z really comes alive.

And finally here are some outside shots of the car. Again, it is not perfect…..yet!!!!! But I learned some much and I am very happy with the turn out thus far. Also, please note that the same style side skirts will be going back onto the car, however they will be trimmed, just as the rear was, to keep that channel all the way around the car. I just don't like the overlapping look. The channel brings the car together.

And a big thanks to my biggest helpers of all during the last few months. Love em

Thanks again to all. I know that many have tossed me kudos in the past and I hope that the new version (beta) pleases just as well. Gimme about 7-8 months and pics will be coming of her totally done done!!!!!

Time to update the sig!
